In Loving Memory of Barbara A. (Florence) Beighley -who passed away peacefully at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers, MA, on April 24, 2024, at the age of 82. She is survived by her husband, James “Ron” Beighley, with whom they shared 62 years of marriage.
Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Christine (Doucette) Florence. She is survived by her sister, Jean Haradon of White River Junction, VT, Diane Lambias of Elon, North Carolina, Marie Koulas & her husband, Greg of Peabody, and a brother, James Florence, and his wife, Eleanor of Wilmington. Besides her husband, Barb is survived by her two daughters and son-in-law, Christine and Lawrence Joy of Brunswick, Maine; Michelle Marino and her partner, Christopher Verrill; two sons, William Leatham and his wife Cheryl of Lyman, Maine; and Michael Beighley and his wife Jodi of Reading. She was predeceased by her sister, Nancy Greene, and brother-in-law, John Greene of North Reading.
Barbara’s life was enriched with love for her grandchildren, Joey, Alex, and Jacob Marino; Rory Joy, Andrew, Jimmy, and Brandon Beighley, and Bill, Danny, and Chris Leatham; and her four great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews, and great-nephews.
Among her joys in life were gardening, ceramics, collecting blown glass, and fancy dolls. She was a lover of cats and dogs and had many pets during her lifetime, the last being a cat named Molly who left this world not long ago. Her home was beautifully decorated and was like touring a museum. She was a wealth of knowledge and a rock of strength that you could always count on for help, advice, information, and love. She will be deeply missed. She was a great mother, sister, and friend.
