Reading Police Charge Juvenile Following Single-Car Crash

A JUVENILE, AGE 17, of READING, is facing multiple charges following a crash on Grove Street

READING – Chief David Clark reports that the Reading Police Department has charged the driver of a vehicle involved in a crash on Thursday night.

A JUVENILE, AGE 17, of READING, is charged with:

  • Negligent Operation
  • Marked Lanes Violation
  • Speed Greater Than Reasonable

On Thursday, March 28, at about 11:59 p.m., Reading Police were dispatched to Grove Street for reports of a single-car crash.

Upon arrival, police observed a black pickup truck on its side on the lawn of a home. Through its initial investigation, police determined that the JUVENILE, the lone occupant of the truck, was operating at a high rate of speed given weather conditions.

The JUVENILE remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation in the presence of his parents.

The crash caused damage to the property. No one was injured.

All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
