Obituary: Michael William Gale, 62

September 16, 1961 – March 16, 2024

The beloved Michael William Gale, 62, died of a heart attack at his home in Corinna, Maine, on March 16, 2024.

Mike was employed as an independent contractor. He was truly a man who marched to the beat of his own drum. He owned and lived on a sailboat, sailing up and down the Eastern seaboard, and later found peace in the Corinna countryside. He will be remembered as a wonderful, kind, and gentle soul who lived his life quietly but touched others through his acts of kindness. He was a good friend, willing to help with any request, which earned him faithful and supportive friends and neighbors. He was a talented artist and lover of his family and all things outdoors, particularly the ocean, sailing, and long walks in the country with his beloved dog, Dozer.

He was predeceased by his son Sean Tucker, granddaughter Metta Gale, mother Marily Gale, sister Emily Gale, and brother Brian Gale. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Ian Tucker, Benjamin Gale, and wife Milly Gale, and Dylan Gale and wife Charlotte Gale; grandson Cole Gale; parents, William and Bonnie Gale; and siblings Eileen Avtges, Julie Curll, and Ellen Garopolo.

Memorial service details will be shared at a later date. His cremains will be interred in Gloucester, MA. Those who wish may leave condolences at CrosbyNeal.com.
