Obituary: Anna T. Manseau, 85

April 6, 1938 — March 7, 2024

Anna T. Manseau of Reading, formerly of Woburn, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on Thursday, March 7, 2024. She was 85 years of age.

Anna graduated from Saint Mary’s High School in Lawrence, Massachusetts. Upon graduation, she attended Catherine Laboure School of Nursing where she obtained her RN. Service to others was very important to Anna. She continued her education along with working as a nurse and nurse educator at Bon Secours Hospital. She obtained a Doctorate in Education from Boston University.

Anna was a member of Sigma Theta Tau for Nurses. She served as a commissioned officer in the US Public Health Service. She co-authored and edited a Pharmacology for Nurses textbook. Anna retired from her professional career as a Professor of Nursing at Mass Bay Community College.

A significant part of her nursing career was spent educating future nurses. She was devoted to her role as a nurse educator and mentor. Anna was an accomplished pianist. Her passion for people and life was often expressed through playing the piano and her writings.

A very spiritual person, Anna has written several books of poetry expressing her devotion to God. She had a deep desire to help others in her work and personal relationships.

Beloved daughter of the late Wilfred and Theophile (Wolange) Manseau. Anna was the cherished sister of the late Wilfred Manseau. Loving sister-in-law of Susan Manseau and aunt of William Manseau and his wife Karen Wadleigh, Patrick Manseau and his wife Lizette Richards, Daniel Manseau, Marianne and her husband Christopher Lequin. Along with 9 great nieces and nephews, he was the longtime friend of Tina Cormio and family along with Patricia Doherty.

Family and Friends are invited to gather and share memories with the family on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at Saint Athanasius Church, 300 Haverhill Street READING from 10:30am-11:30am followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:30am, celebrating Anna’s Eternal Life. Interment Saint Mary’s Cemetery Lawrence, Massachusetts.
