READING, MA — Chief David Clark reports that the Reading Police Department arrested and charged a woman with larceny on Friday.
MICHELLE DALLESANDRO, AGE 59, of READING, was arrested and charged with:
- Larceny over $1,200
- Malicious Destruction
- Illegal Possession of a Class E Substance
On Friday, Jan. 19, at about 9:40 a.m., a Reading Police Officer was dispatched to a residence on Gould Street for a report of a package that had been tampered with in the building’s mailroom.
Through an initial investigation, Reading Police determined that the package, which contained prescription medication, had been opened and contents had been removed.
A subsequent investigation determined that a woman later identified as DALLESANDRO, who is a resident, removed the package from the mailroom, stole the medications, and later returned the open package.
Reading Police placed DALLESANDRO under arrest without incident, based on information gathered during the investigation.
DALLESANDRO was arraigned on Friday in Woburn District Court.
All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
