Nancy V. Skelley passed away at Lawrence General Hospital on Friday, December 1. She was
93. Born in Dorchester, she was the daughter of the late Frank and the late Mary (DeStefano) Scionti. A native of Medford, she lived most of her life in Reading, before moving to Andover. She also lived briefly in California.
Nancy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. In her secretarial career at TJX, she eventually became an executive assistant to the head buyer. In her leisure time, Nancy loved to cook, play cards and shop. She enjoyed trying her luck at the casinos and was an avid fan of Boston sports teams and, in particular, of Tom Brady.
She was the beloved wife of the late Arthur P. Skelley. She was the devoted mother of
Deborah Russo, Caron Peck and her husband Gregory, Richard Skelley and his wife Debbie and Robert Skelley and his wife Kristin. She was the loving grandmother of Beth, Ryan, Christina, Alex, Jackson, Nicholas, Jamison and Mikaela. She was the loving great-grandmother of Ryan and Caitlin. She was also the devoted sister of the late Grace Visconti and Lorraine Scionti.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford Monday, December 11, from 10 AM-11:30, followed by a funeral service in the funeral home at 11:30 AM. Services will conclude with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
