Virginia Holmes of Reading died November 22, 2023, at her home at Peter Sanborn Place in Reading. She was 96 years of age. She was the sister of the late Arthur Holmes, Francis Holmes, Joseph Holmes, and Rita M. Finnerty.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Athanasius Church, 300 Haverhill St. Reading Thursday, November 30 at 10:30 am. Burial will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Stoneham. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the Funeral Mass from 9-10 am on Thursday at the Douglass, Edgerley, and Bessom Funeral Home, 25 Sanborn St. (Corner of Woburn St.) Reading.
