Roger C. Thompson, a lifelong resident of Reading, passed away at his home on October 30, 2023. He was 74 years of age. Roger was born in Winchester, Massachusetts, on March 16, 1949, the son of the late Clifford and Leona (Leo) Thompson.
Roger was a graduate of Reading Memorial High School class of 1967. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War from 1969 to 1971. He was a member and past Commander of the American Legion Post 62 in Reading. He enjoyed golf and was an avid New England Sports fan.
Roger was the father of Mick R. Croce and grandfather of Scout Croce, both of LA. Brother of Jack Thompson of Falmouth, ME, and the late Wendy Thompson. He was the uncle of Alicia Thompson-Reyes and her husband Al Reyes and granduncle of Krista Reyes, all of North Reading.
Funeral services and burial are private.
