Grace L. (Scionti) Visconti, of Tallahassee, FL, formerly of Stoneham and Reading, passed away on Wednesday, September 27th. She was 97. Born in Boston, she was the cherished daughter of the late Frank and Mary (DeStefano) Scionti.
Grace enjoyed playing cards with her girlfriends. They formed a card-playing group and looked forward to getting together on Thursday nights. Grace also enjoyed shopping and overnight trips to the casinos in New Jersey. She found pleasure in cooking and baking. She was known for her homemade eggplant parm and her famous seed and anise cookies which she shared with everyone. Spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren was her greatest delight.
Grace was the beloved wife of 38 years to the late James W. Visconti. She was the devoted mother of Marie Mota, Patricia Kilgore, James Visconti Jr., and his wife Joanne and the late Domenic A. Visconti. She was the loving Grammy of James W. Visconti III., and his wife Wendy, William Visconti and Brenda Moradl, Mary Grace Zammitti and her husband Stefano, Ginny Larsen and her husband Gabe, April Cote and her husband Harvey, Jill Visconti, Alicia Ramos and Mark Kilgore and his wife Nadia. She was the loving Great Grammy of 15, and the dear sister of Nancy Skelley and the late Lorraine Scionti. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit with Grace’s family on Friday, October 13th from 10 to 12 noon at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, A celebration of Grace’s life will be held at noon. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
