The Sisterhood of Temple Emmanuel In Wakefield announces several special fall events beginning with the annual kick off brunch (vegetarian & dairy items) on Sunday, October 8, 2023 at 11:30am. If the weather permits, we will be on our back patio by the Sukkah, but if the weather isn’t cooperative we will be indoors for comfort. We welcome newcomers to join us at this event and others throughout the year.
We are excited that Jordon Scott, a talented singer and son of Sisterhood member Ellen Scott will perform a medley of songs. Ellen may join him for a duet or two.
Dues for the year 2023-2024 is $54 and those attending may pay by check made out to the Sisterhood of Temple Emmanuel or on line through the sisterhood donor box. Those attending are encouraged to bring books to swap and items for the Wakefield Food Pantry. Please RSVP Shochberg.sh@gmail.com by Oct. 1.
Upcoming fall events include a Sisterhood Sunday walking tour of Mount Auburn Cemetery with emphasis on Jewish history on October 22nd at 11 am and on Sunday, November 12 at 1 pm, author and opera singer Elizabeth Splaine will speak in person about her book Swan Song and more. Information about these programs will be available on our Temple Emmanuel Website: www.WakefieldTemple.org.
