Reading, MA — Reading Art Spring Show held its annual art show this past weekend. Ruth Wierenga took 1st Prize for “Kitchen Morning” acrylic painting of daffodils.
The Reading Art Association spring show featured artwork from over 90 artist members representing surrounding towns and cities. The show was held at the Congregational Church, Woburn Street in Reading, on May 5 and 6.
Carolyn Latanision won Best of Show for “ Many People, Many Pursuits” watercolor depicting a multicultural gathering of people waiting to cross the street.
Particularly striking companion pieces were the painting of two Koi ( by RAA Philip Hamann) with a floral arrangement by Garden Club artist Rosemarie Rose that incorporated delphinium and variegated yellow and orange tulips.
