NORTH READING — Chief Michael Murphy reports that the North Reading Police and Fire Departments responded to a fatal motor vehicle crash on Park Street on Friday afternoon.
On Friday, March 3, at approximately 1:40 p.m., the North Reading Police and Fire Departments responded to multiple 911 calls reporting a two-vehicle crash on Park Street at Central Street.
Officers arrived on scene a short time later to discover a collision between a Ford F-150 pickup truck and a Hyundai Elantra.
The driver of the Elantra was transported to Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Burlington, where they were pronounced dead. The driver of the pickup also was transported to Lahey Hospital and Medical Center for treatment of their injuries.
The North Reading Police Department is investigating the crash with assistance from the Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section and State Police detectives attached to the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office.
