Dorothy A. (Souther) Melanson, of Wakefield, formerly of Reading, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 8, 2023. She was 66 years of age.
Dorothy loved gardening, crocheting, reading, and coloring, but her favorite thing in life was her children and her grandchildren.
Dorothy is the beloved life partner of David McBeth. She is the cherished mother of Candice Bamberg and her husband Damien, Daniel “DJ” Melanson and his wife Janine, Darlene Melanson and her significant other Michael, and Timothy Melanson and his significant other Amanda and her son Aidan. Loving grandmother of Emma Melanson, Ava, Summer Bamberg, and Ella Melanson. Dear sister of Barbara Cogan and her husband Arthur, Carolyn Doherty and her husband Austin, Linda DiGiacomo, Sharon Madden and her husband Tom, William “Billy” Souther, and Ellen Noon. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Doherty Barile Family Funeral Home 11 Linden St. READING Wednesday, February 15, 2023, at 9:30 am followed by a Funeral Mass Celebrating Dorothy’s Eternal Life in St. Agnes Church 186 Woburn St. Reading at 10:30 am.
