Lawrence J. Salvatore, age 82, of Reading, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, January 25. Raised and educated in Revere, he was the son of the late Dominic and Angelina (Emma) Salvatore. Lawrence was self-employed for much of his career. Following retirement, he enjoyed golf, wine, and spending time with his grandchildren. Lawrence has lived for the past seven years in Reading.
Lawrence was the beloved husband of 55 years to the late Agnes Rose (Ciaccio) Salvatore, and was the devoted father of Joseph Salvatore and his wife Donna, Gina DeFilippo and her husband David, and Leanne Rich and her fiancé, John Fusco. He was the loving grandfather of Lauren, Michael, David Jr., Gianna, Joseph, Isabella, and Michael, and is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
In accordance with his family’s wishes, funeral services will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Lawrence’s name to Smile Train, online at: smiletrain.org.
