Reading, MA — Whitelam Books is delighted to welcome author Alison Goldberg on Saturday, January 28 at 1 PM for a special Story Time with a Craft. In addition to reading her book Bottle Tops: The Art of Anatsui, Alison will lead kids in an art project. Bottle Tops: The Art of Anatsui explores the life of highly-acclaimed Ghanaian artist El Anatsui, whose sculptures created with repurposed bottle tops have been exhibited around the world. Kids will be invited to participate in an art experience, where they will use found materials in the way El Anatsui does, to create a collaborative piece of art. Alison will be available to discuss her book, answer questions, and sign copies of her book.
