David J. Dickovick, of Reading, formerly of Connecticut, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, December 30. He was 34 years of age.
Born and raised in Connecticut, he was the husband of Kathleen (Macomber) Dickovick and father of Hailey Dickovick. David resided in Reading since 2015.
David grew up in Ansonia, Connecticut where he was a member of the Boy Scouts with Troop 7 at the Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia. As a child, David loved the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, playing Sonic the Hedgehog, and riding on the back of his father Paul’s motorcycle. He graduated Gilford High School in 2006 and attended one year at Gateway Community College for early childhood education.
Since living in Reading, David worked as a Production Engineer for Innovative Fabrication in Lowell.
David loved spending time with his family, especially his daughter Hailey. He loved watching his New York Giants on Sundays, driving his mustang in the summer and relaxing playing his video games.
In addition to his wife Kathleen, David is survived by his daughter, Hailey, his father and step-mother Paul and Cathleen Dickovick of Fayetteville, NC; his mother, Karen Figula of Connecticut; and his grandmother, Joan Figula of Connecticut. He is also survived by his brother and sister, Brian and Jennifer; his step sister and step brother Cortney and Timothy; his father-in-law and mother-in-law Glenn and Carol Macomber of Reading; his brother-in-law Glenn and his wife Maura Macomber of Tewksbury, and their children Connor, Logan, and Sophia; and many other nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.
A visitation will be held at the Douglass, Edgerley & Bessom Funeral Home, 25 Sanborn St. (cor. of Woburn St.) Reading on Friday, January 6 from 9:30am to 11:30am, followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Athanasius Church 300 Haverhill St. in Reading at 12:00pm. Burial will be at the Laurel Hill Cemetery in Reading.
