Theresa Trainor of Winthrop passed away at the Bear Mountain at Reading on October 24, 2022. She was 87 years old. Born in Chelsea, she was the beloved daughter of the late Melvina (Perry) and Thomas Gallant. She grew up in Chelsea before moving to Winthrop. Prior to her retirement, she worked as a check processor for Shawmut and Fleet Bank.
She was the devoted wife of the late Robert O. Trainor and the loving mother of Patricia Petrillo of New Hampshire, Robert Trainor of Florida, and the late Dorothy Medeiros. She was the last of ten siblings. Cherished grandmother of Patrick Medeiros, Alyssa Ashby, Jessica Petrillo, JT Petrillo, Eric Petrillo, and Melissa Trainor. Also survived by 10 great-grandchildren.
Family and friends are cordially invited to attend the visitation from the funeral home on Saturday, October 29, 2022, from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM followed by a funeral mass in St. John the Evangelist Church 320 Winthrop St., Winthrop at 12:00 PM. Services will conclude with the interment in the Belle Isle section of Winthrop Cemetery.
