Robert T. “Shag” Shaunessy, of Reading, beloved husband of 59 years to Elaine (Waters) Shaunessy, passed away on Saturday, October 1st, 2022. Devoted father of Scott Shaunessy and his wife Jeanne, Steven Shaunessy and his wife Carianne, and Sloan Coulter and her husband, Robert. He is beloved by his grandchildren, Caroline and Julia Shaunessy, Kelsie and Thomas Shaunessy, and Keegan and Kealy Coulter. Loving son of the late Thomas and Ruth (Lynds) Shaunessy and beloved brother of the late Beverly Rousseau and her late husband Russell and the late Doreen Sadowski. He also leaves many nieces, nephews, and his beloved cat, Pumpkin.
Family and friends are cordially invited to a Funeral Mass celebrating Robert, at St. Agnes Church, 186 Woburn St., Reading, on Friday, October 7th, 2022, at 10:30 A.M. Military honors will conclude the service. There are no visiting hours and interment will be private.
