Anne C. (Silvestro) Strazzere of Reading, formerly of the West End of Boston passed away on Tuesday, June 7, 2022, at age 97, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on June 12, 1924, Anne was the loving daughter of the late Gaetano and Concetta (Giubilo) Silvestro. Anne was a loving and devoted daughter, wife, sister, mother, and nana. Just shy of her 98th birthday, Anne impressed everyone who knew her with her independence and resiliency. She was an exceptional cook, known for her lasagna and many other Italian dishes and never let anyone leave her house without brownies or cupcakes in hand. She was a woman of great faith, never missing the daily mass and rosary on TV and communion every Sunday. Most of all, she loved being around her family including her beloved dog Annie and her cat Iggy. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Anne was the devoted wife of the late Frank Strazzere and dear sister of the late Helen Silvestro, John Silvestro and his late wife Flora, and the late Salvatore Silvestro, Joseph Silvestro and Camille Ferrante. Beloved mother of George Strazzere and his wife Karen, Guy Strazzere and his wife Lynn, and Joanne Allen & her husband Jack. Cherished Nana of Steffanie Strazzere and her fiancé Matt Murray, Kathleen Kanaan and her husband Ali, Kim and Jillian Strazzere, Michael Strazzere, and Maryssa and Amanda Allen. Loving great-grandmother to Amira and Ali. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass Celebrating Anne’s Eternal Life will be held on Tuesday, June 14th at 10:30am in St. Agnes Church, 186 Woburn St. Reading. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share memories with Anne’s Family prior to the Mass from 8:30 – 10am in the Doherty – Barile Family Funeral Home, 11 Linden St. READING. Interment St. Michael’s Cemetery, Boston.
