Audrey M. (Lantagne) Cox, a resident of Reading for 69 years, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on March 20, 2022. She was 95 years old.
Audrey was born in Medford, Massachusetts on November 22, 1926, to the late Alexander and Frances (Jones) Lantagne. She was the last surviving sibling of her many beloved brothers and sisters. Audrey was an active member of the First Baptist Church and was well known around town from her days working at A&P Supermarket and Harrows. She enjoyed reading and playing Bingo.
Audrey was the beloved wife of the late Walter M. Cox and devoted mother to William W. Cox of Falmouth, Gary J. Cox and his wife Lynn of Nottingham, NH, Vivian Orlanzo and her husband Edward of Reading, the late Cheryl Sidelinker and her late husband Les, and the late Paula Lawrence. Audrey was a loving grandmother to her 12 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service celebrating Audrey’s life will be held on Friday, March 25, 2022, at the First Baptist Church 45 Woburn St. Reading, MA at 11:00AM. Burial will follow at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody, MA. There are no visiting hours.
