On the night of October 21, 2021, by a vote of Town Meeting did just that on behalf of the taxpayers of the Town.

As Paul Harvey used to say “Here is the rest of the story” The lot has 125 feet of frontage on Grove Street or six parking spots which will be included in the new eighteen parking space lot. So the net gain will be twelve spots. The ADA will require at least one VAN ACCESSIBLE parking spot of an additional eight feet. So now the NET gain is eleven spots.

So, at $450,000 each gained spot will cost the taxpayers $40 900, and twenty thousand Sq. feet of trees will be cut down to create the lot and unless a way can be found to 9nd a path to connect with Strout Ave people will still have to walk on Grove Street.
