The developer of the five lots on Grove Street being sold by Meadow Brook has offered to sell back the lot to the Town for $600k, $150k more than he paid for it.
The Town is proposing a parking lot for 18 cars and new access to the Town Forest. The cost will be $33,333 per lot, but in doing so they will lose six parking spots on Grove Street for a net gain of twelve spots, this will bring the cost to $ 50k per spot.
As we have seen with parking downtown there will never be enough.
I will be voting no at Town Meeting on this proposal, and if you agree call your Town Meeting Member and ask, him or her to vote NO!
