Debbie died peacefully in her home after a period of declining health. She was a long time resident of a group home managed by Communitas. There she enjoyed many community outings, activities, and made many friends with all the staff and residents which she “adopted” as a second family. Debbie was known for her love of cats, coffee, tea, Kenny Rogers, and the Boston Bruins. She had a bright smile and loved celebrations. In her younger years, she participated in the Special Olympics. and even got 2 silver medals for horseshoes and the 75-meter walk in 2012.

She brought so much joy to our lives and will be missed dearly.

We would like to express our deep gratitude to Communitas for supporting, assisting, and loving Debbie over the years. We cannot thank Communitas and the many staff members enough for their personalized care and attention they’ve given to Debbie over the years.
