Reading, MA — With just over eighty percent of Reading voters participating in the November 3 election, Town Clerk Laura Gemme posted unofficial results on the town website. Presidential Candidate and former Vice President Joe Biden won the race for President of the United States in the town of Reading, receiving 10,791votes. Incumbent President Donald Trump received 5,304 votes in Reading. Two hundred and nine Reading voters cast their ballots for Libertarian Presidential candidate Jo Jorgensen.
With 10,340 votes, Reading also chose to send incumbent Democrat Edward Markey back to the United States Senate. Republican challenger, Kevin O’Connor, received 5,667 votes. Democratic incumbent for the Massachusetts Sixth Congressional District, Seth Moulton, received 10,550 votes in Reading defeating Republican challenger John Paul Moran who received 5,242 votes.
Reading gave Bradley Jones of North Reading, the Republican incumbent representative from the Twentieth Middlesex District, 4,285 votes, while his Democratic challenger, Michelle Mullet, received 3,070 votes from the town. In the Thirtieth Middlesex District, unchallenged incumbent Richard Haggerty garnered 5,582 votes. Unchallenged incumbent State Senator from the Fifth Middlesex District, Jason Lewis, received 10,577 votes in Reading.

Reading voted overwhelmingly to approve ballot question one, allowing owners of automobiles access to repair data, 11,943 votes to 3,791 votes, while rejecting ballot question two, seeking to add ranked-choice to election ballots, 6,013 votes to 7,993 votes.
