September 6, 1945 – July 19, 2020
Edna was from Reading and grew up on Brook Street. As a young girl, she loved sports and hanging out with childhood friends. She married at 20 and left Reading only to return years later as a young widow to the late James Hoffman. She was also the Mother to Lisa Cummings and Grammy to Miah Cummings, her only grandchild.
Edna spent her later years living in Tewksbury while she worked at the Tewksbury State Hospital. She then retired. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening, cooking, reading, and always helping her neighbors. She will be remembered for her sense of humor and warm heart.
Edna enjoyed dancing and music with friends back in her day as she listened to many genres. She was always with her brother “Butch” and friends, they are together again now in peace. She will be greatly missed by many nieces and nephews, older sibling, and dear friends.
