B. Gordon Little, a longtime resident of Reading, formerly of Stoneham, passed away on May 22, 2020 at the Edith Nourse Rogers Memorial Veterans Hospital in Bedford. He was 92 years of age.
Gordon was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts on May 2, 1928 the son of Baxter and Eva (Allen) Little. Gordon was a graduate of Stoneham High School class of 1946. In high school Gordon was a three Letterman in football, hockey, and baseball. Upon graduation he enlisted in the United States Army. He proudly served his country and was honorably discharged as a Private First Class. Gordon graduated from Suffolk University with a Bachelor’s degree in Business. He was a retired Sales Manager of New England for Mazda Motors. Gordon was a 50-year member of Good Samaritan Lodge A.F. & A.M. in Reading. He loved all sports mainly golfing, hockey and skiing. He enjoyed attending Bruins games and being a “Gallery God”. Gordon also loved to fly airplanes. He had his pilot’s license and mainly flew out of Beverly airport. Gordon brought light into every room. He loved making people laugh with his jokes and a great talent for storytelling. His sense of humor and kindness will be forever missed. Gordon had many achievements in his life but his family was his greatest.
Gordon was the beloved husband of the late Jacquelyn J. (Taylor) Little. Devoted father of Dianne L. Sharkey of Reading. Loving grandfather of Charlene Marazzi and Jacquelyn Sharkey both of Stoneham. Loving great grandfather of Callie, James, Anthony, and Stella. Cherished cousin of Elizabeth Larson and her husband Lew of Maryland and Richard Rodenheiser and his wife Jeannie of Framingham.
Due to the COVID-19 situation funeral services will be private with burial at Lindenwood Cemetery in Stoneham.
