Our family has lived in Reading for a few decades but has never been politically engaged beyond always voting.
For those of us who have attended or watched the select board in action recently, it’s painfully obvious we need to fix this dysfunctional process. This will require rebalancing and putting a chairman in place who has the management capabilities required to lead a civic volunteer organization.
When talking to my neighbors and others about this important upcoming election, someone said, “But Barry has managed to upset everyone at times!”
I’m not aware of this actually being the case, but consistent 5-0, 5-0 vote results would suggest we NEED to shake it up.
Lastly, we can’t afford to lose any more of our experienced leaders who understand the process and have the skill set to lead the new board.
Others have regaled you with Barry’s many contributions and accomplishment to date, so enough said. Re-elect Barry Berman, please. EVERY VOTE COUNTS.
4 decades and counting but not a politician.
