In a letter to the editor, Select Board member says Anne Landry has the dedication we want in our state rep
When I first met Anne Landry on the Finance Committee several years ago, I was a local government novice. I would always try to sit next to Anne at meetings because she was the one I would lean towards and whisper “What does that mean?” From the very beginning, she made me feel comfortable and at ease. Anne has the ability to engender trust in those she interacts with. She’s genuine and that’s a precious quality.
Anne understands that every decision a government makes affects its residents in deep and profound ways. With her Finance Committee work in Reading and her professional experience having worked in both the House and Senate as the Chief Counsel for State Senator Brownsberger, she is uniquely qualified in understanding how government functions and the financial struggles towns like Reading and Woburn face. She is the only candidate who can immediately get to work.
With all this professional and volunteer experience, Anne has the resume, the qualifications, to be a very effective state rep. But that’s not why I’m supporting her. Anne is more than numbers and policy and a good LinkedIn profile. Anne is someone who cares deeply about her community. She’s someone who believes so strongly in the importance of public service, that she has dedicated her career to it. To us.
That passion, that dedication, that drive to do better. That is why I’ll be voting for Anne in the primary on September 4th.
