Projects include playground improvements and Pickleball courts
Reading, MA — Reading Recreation announces two upcoming improvement projects to public recreational facilities beginning next week that will impact access for a limited time.
Starting on June 25, a playground improvement project at the Barrows Elementary School Playground will extend the footprint and add a climbing wall structure. The playground will remain closed until the project is completed, estimated up to two weeks depending on weather conditions during construction. The Barrows Playground project is part of the FY2018 capital improvement plan.
The second project will add lines to the Memorial Park tennis courts for Pickleball within the next couple of weeks. The courts will be closed until the paint dries. Closed dates will be reflected accordingly in the online reservation system (playlocal.com) when the exact dates are finalized.
