State Representative Debate planned for May 23

Candidates running in the 30th Middlesex District race for State Representative, regardless of party affiliation, have been invited to participate in a public debate forum so the voters of Woburn wards 2-6 can hear the candidates position on important issues. 

Representative James Dwyer who represents Woburn Wards 2-6 and Reading Precincts 2-5, will retire at the end of his term. There are four Democrats and one Republican in the race for Dwyer’s seat.

Joseph Demers of Woburn – Democrat

Richard Haggerty of Woburn – Democrat

Anne Johnson Landry of Reading – Democrat

Claire Malaguti of Woburn – Republican

Darryn Remillard of Woburn – Democrat

The forum moderator, Mr. Tom Zuppa of the Lowell Sun and, will feature candidate opening and closing statements, a round of questions, and a lightning round which will keep the event fast and fun. The forum will be held in the auditorium of Woburn Memorial High School on Wednesday, May 23, doors open at 6:30; the debate starts at 7 pm. The public is graciously invited to join the audience!
