Julieann Thurlow Makes American Banker’s “25 Women to Watch” List and RCB is Dubbed one of the “Top 100 Women-Led Businesses in Massachusetts” by the Boston Globe
Reading, MA –- Reading Cooperative Bank (RCB) President/CEO Julieann Thurlow was recently featured in American Banker Magazine’s 2017 issue of the “25 Women to Watch” in the banking industry, marking her second appearance on the distinguished list. Following the magazine piece, it was announced that Ms. Thurlow and RCB had been ranked #86 on the Boston Globe’s “Top 100 Women-Led Businesses in Massachusetts” list, which was published in the Sunday Globe Magazine. Those named to the list were honored by the Globe at an awards ceremony which took place on Friday, October 27th, at the Intercontinental Hotel in Boston.
Ms. Thurlow joined Reading Cooperative Bank in 1993 and rose through the lending ranks to become its president in 2006. At that time, the bank had four branches and $237.6 million in total assets, and now has assets of $524.6 million at 8 branches. Thurlow is also a board member for the American Bankers Association and presently serves on its Government Relations Council and Membership Council. She serves on the boards of Bankers’ Bank Northeast, the Cooperative Central Bank of Massachusetts and is the Board Chair of the Lahey Hospital Continuum of Care Board.
