The Friends of Reading Recreation will be sponsoring an opportunity for young children to learn about and experience the sport of track and field this summer.
The focus of the clinic is to have fun and learn about the different track events. Children will be taken through an age appropriate warm up and will be taught the basics of specific track and field events. They will also have the chance to practice different events through drills and games. The program will be under the direction of Reading Memorial High School Boys Varsity Track Coach Scott Price. Mr. Price has been coaching and teaching elementary school for fifteen years.
The clinic will run July 18 to 20 at the RMHS track from 10:00am until 12:00 noon and is open to girls and boys entering the third, fourth, and fifth grades in the fall of 2016. The cost for this programs is $55 per child and is limited to Reading residents. To sign your child up go to www.signmeup.com/113944
