Spring 2016 bird walks planned

READING – Despite the snow on the ground, spring is finally here in Reading.  One Reading man has planned several opportunities to get out and explore open spaces in Reading.   Dave Williams has scheduled several Sunday morning bird watching walks through the month of May.  The walks are free and open to all – young and old, regardless of bird watching experience.  The dates and places for the walks are:

Sunday, April 24th-Town Forest. 6:30 – 8:30AM.  Meet at the end of Strout Ave. Park on Grove St.

Sunday, May 1st-Bare Meadow. 6:30 – 8:30AM.  Meet at the Mattera Cabin located at 1481 N. Main St.

Sunday, May 8th-Mother’s Day walk. 6:30 – 8:30AM. Town Forest.  Meet at the end of Strout Ave. Park on Grove St.

Sunday, May 15th-Bare Meadow.  Meet at the Mattera Cabin located at 1481 N. Main St.

Sunday, May 22nd-Town Forest. 6:30 – 8:30AM. Meet at the end of Strout Ave. Park on Grove St.

Sunday, May 29th-Meet at Lobs Pound on Mill St. We’ll bird there for a while and then drive to another near-by location.
