DESCRIPTION:Join your neighbors Saturday May 10 from 10am–3pm for Community Clean-Up Day at the Maillet\, Sommes\, Morgan conservation area\n\nReading\, MA — Looking for a way to enjoy the outdoors\, support the environment\, and connect with your neighbors? Join the Reading Conservation Commission this Saturday\, May 10\, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.\, for a Community Clean-Up Day at the town’s newest green space — the Maillet\, Sommes\, Morgan Conservation Area. \nWhether you’re hoping to spend time outside\, do something positive for the environment\, or take part in a family-friendly activity\, this event is the perfect opportunity. Volunteers of all ages are welcome to help rake\, pick up litter\, spread wood chips\, and more — all in support of giving this beautiful open space a fresh start for spring. \nCome for as long as you like\, and if you have them\, please bring gloves\, lawn bags\, and rakes. Snacks and water will be provided for all volunteers. \nThe main entrance to the Maillet\, Sommes\, Morgan area is located on Willow Street near the railroad tracks. On-site parking is limited\, but additional parking is available along the north side of Willow Street between the tracks and Austin Prep. Visitors may also access the site via the entrance at the end of Hunt Street. \nLet’s work together to keep Reading green and beautiful — we hope to see you there!

DESCRIPTION:Climate Resiliency Project Ribbon Cutting to occur Tuesday\, October 1 at 3:45pm.\nCongressman Moulton and State Delegation to attend\nhe Town of Reading today announces that it will host a brief press conference and ribbon cutting ceremony at the Maillet\, Sommes & Morgan Conservation Land (62 Willow Street) on Tuesday\, October 1 at 3:45pm. The event will showcase this special stormwater and conservation project that is now complete. The State Delegation of Senator Jason Lewis\, and Representatives Bradley Jones and Rich Haggerty\, as well as Congressman Seth Moulton and EEOA Undersecretary Katherine Antos will be in attendance. The public is encouraged to attend. Parking is available at Austin Preparatory School at 101 Willow Street in Reading beginning at 3:30pm\, with the press conference at 3:45PM followed by opportunities for trail exploration and discussion with project staff.
