SUMMARY:Chamber to Host Beer Garden on Reading Town Common Saturday
DESCRIPTION:Reading\, MA — The Reading-North Reading Chamber is inviting the community to come together for a fall Beer Garden on Reading Common on Saturday\, October 11 from 3-7. This event is free to attend. \nThis family friendly\, annual event is a chance to sample locally made beer\, wine and food while enjoying a New England autumn day outdoors. Beer vendors include Hopothecary Ales (North Reading)\, Small Change Brewery (Somerville) and Wandering Soul (Beverly) who will be serving from a Tiny Pub trailer (Reading). Maple Ridge Winery (North Andover) will be serving a variety of their wines. \nLight food options will be available from Reading-based providers Empower\, Cupcake City\, SwissBakers\, and Pizza World. Bring your friends and join us for the afternoon and then stay in town for dinner at one of the fine local restaurants like Venetian Moon\, Bunratty Tavern\, The Charles\, Zucca\, Public Kitchen\, or Post 1917. \nArea businesses will be on hand to share information while visitors relax with family and friends. Local DJ Time of Your Life Entertainment (North Reading) will be playing a mix of favorites and there will be activities for the kids. \nA valid ID will be required to purchase alcohol. Stop by the Chamber table to get a free ID wristband before you line up for beverages. Cash and credit cards will be accepted at the beverage tents. \nParking \nThe cobblestone area between Town Hall and the Common will be closed to parking beginning at 7am on Saturday until after the event closes at 7pm. Beer Garden visitors are asked not to park directly in front of the storefronts on Main Street or the cobblestone area in front of CVS between Woburn and Haven Street between 3 and 7pm so that shoppers and diners can still access these businesses during the day. There is parking in the Town Hall lot and on local streets. \nThis event is free of charge thanks to financial support from our local sponsor businesses\, including Fitness Within\, Latham Law Offices\, The Savings Bank\, Must Eats Travel\, and Northern Bank and Trust. The Chamber is not receiving any money from the town of Reading and is grateful for the support of the Board of Health\, the Reading Police Department\, the DPW\, and other town offices for helping make these community events possible.
