Reading MA based volunteer group focused on Ukrainian refugees, is hosting a local Reading fundraiser on Thursday the 13th. We just recently confirmed a Ukrainian refugee family that will be coming to the Reading MA Community later this summer with our support (family with two children). We are continuing to fundraise to support their needs during this transition and hosting an event with Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza this Thursday. 20% of proceeds will go to support our family in their time of need as they flee war-torn Ukraine

Temple Beth Shalom of Melrose and Temple Emmanuel of Wakefield are hosting a summer carnival planned for those 2 to 8 years old. There will be games, food, faceprinting, a bouncy house and puppeteer Anna Sobel from TalkingHandsPuppets. Fun for all. The Reading DPW will host Household Hazardous Waste Day on Saturday, June 22, 2024. The even will be from 9 am to 1 pm at the DPW Garage 75 Newcrossing Road. No commercial waste. TVs/CRTs will not be collected at this event.
