SUMMARY:Wakefield Arts & Crafts Society Starts New Season With Pinecone Tree Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Monthly crafts\, free guest day\, and other activities welcome crafters of all experience levels from Reading and surrounding communities\nWakefield\, MA — The Wakefield Arts & Crafts Society is getting ready to kick off its new season on Tuesday\, September 8\, with a morning of crafting\, lunch\, and socializing. \nThe group’s first meeting of the season will take place from 10 a.m. to approximately 1:30 p.m. at the Wakefield-Lynnfield United Methodist Church\, 273 Vernon Street\, Wakefield. \nMembers will take part in a workshop led by Sandy Panico to create decorative pinecone trees. The Executive Board will also provide a full lunch. \nThe society is also inviting the public to its Free Guest Day on Tuesday\, October 6. No crafting experience is necessary. Guests will have the opportunity to make two different crafts\, meet members and get a feel for what the group is all about. \nThe meeting location is accessible to people with disabilities and offers free\, convenient parking. \nThe Wakefield Arts & Crafts Society welcomes new members\, whether they are experienced crafters or have never tried crafting before. Members come from Wakefield and many surrounding communities\, including Reading\, North Reading\, Melrose\, Malden\, Everett\, Lynn\, Tewksbury\, Billerica\, and Stoneham. \nMembers can participate in making a new craft every month at no additional cost. The Reading Community Singers are pleased to announce that our Fall season will begin with 3 OPEN Rehearsals\, starting Tuesday\, August 25\, and continuing on September 1 and 8. New and Returning Singers are welcome! \nSign-In for the first 3 Rehearsals starts at 6:45 PM\, with Rehearsal to follow at 7:30.  Try RCS out for free before joining! Registration is Open for the first three rehearsals! \nAll Rehearsals are on Tuesdays from 7:30 to 9:30 PM at Old South United Methodist Church\, 6 Salem St.\, Reading MA. \nWhile RCS does NOT require Auditions\, our Members must love to sing\, be able to match pitch and carry a tune\, and be committed to attending rehearsals. We’re open to ALL ages and backgrounds – from 18 years to Senior Citizens. Even if you haven’t sung in years\, what better way to get back into it than by adding your voice to more than 60 other singers?
