SUMMARY:Local Food Drive by Creative Arts
DESCRIPTION:Reading\, MA — Help us help our neighbors. The Reading Food Pantry is partnering with Creative Arts in a food drive from November 7 to November 21 to help local neighbors and families with food needs\, especially during this holiday season. Food can be dropped off in bins outside the Creative Arts office located at 25 Woburn Street in Reading. \nSuggested food items: stuffing mix\, instant mashed potatoes\, canned or jarred cranberry sauce\, canned or jarred vegetables\, rice\, canned or boxed milk\, oil\, jarred gravy\, canned or boxed broth\, canned ham\, dinner rolls\, instant cornbread mix. Also\, ready-made desserts like pies\, cakes\, and cookies are also welcome. \nStop-n-Shop or Market Basket gift cards in any denomination are also accepted\, so that meat\, fresh fruit\, and vegetables can be purchased. \nCreative Arts will drop off donated food items to the Reading Food Pantry on November 22\, 2025\, in time for the holiday week. \nFor more information\, you may contact the Creative Arts office at (781) 942-9600 or director@weteachcreativearts.org.

DESCRIPTION:The Unitarian Universalist Church of Reading hosts its annual indoor and outdoor fair featuring handmade gifts\, baked goods\, live music\, a silent auction\, and raffle prizes\nReading\, MA — The Kris Kringle Fair will be held on Saturday\, November 8\, 2025\, from 9 am to 2 pm at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Reading\, 239 Woburn St.\, Reading\, MA. Sales will take place indoors and under the tent. Booths include Jewelry\, Attic Treasures\, Toys and Kids Books\, Silent Auction\, Potpourri (new items)\, Boutique (handmade items)\, Raffle\, Live Music\, Baked Goods\, Country Store\, Snack Bar\, and Puzzles. All spaces are handicap accessible. \nThe Silent Auction will be on app.bidbeacon.com. Use the code BC2K2M to find the Kris Kringle Fair Silent Auction 2025. All items will be on display during the fair. Bidding will open earlier in the week and close at 3 pm on November 8. Pick up your winnings on November 9 between 11:30 am and 2 pm. \nAmong this year’s Raffle items are a $200 Amazon gift card\, $100 worth of lottery tickets\, and a beautiful patchwork quilt designed and made by the UUCR Quilters. This year’s quilt is “A New Dawn.” \nCome at 9 to enjoy fresh-baked scones from the Snack Bar while they last\, or come at lunchtime to enjoy homemade vegan chili\, hot dogs\, and many other treats. All of the Snack Bar offerings are nut-free. \nThe Kris Kringle Fair is the church’s biggest fellowship event and fundraiser of the year. When the fair comes around each fall\, everyone at UUCR organizes\, donates\, bakes\, cooks\, sings\, plays music\, greets\, staffs tables\, or shops—working side by side to make this daylong fair a much-anticipated and enjoyed event for the church\, for Reading\, and for surrounding communities. \nChurch services and Religious Education classes are held in person on Sunday mornings at 10 am. Services are also broadcast on YouTube.
