The Reading Compost Center, located on Grove Street, has announced its hours for September and October. Materials such as leaves, grass clippings and yard waste are accepted at the Compost. Tree trimmings may be a maximum of 8 feet in length and 8 inches in diameter. The Compost Area is open to Reading residents only; commercial vehicles excluded. Residents need a 2016 Community Access Sticker for access to the Compost Center. These are available at the Reading Police Department.
The Compost Center will be open on the following days during September:
Mon: Sept. 12, 19, 26: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Sat: Sept. 3, 10, 17, 24: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
The Compost will also be open on the following days during October:
Mon: Oct. 3, 17, 24, 31: 8:00 AM –2:30 PM
Fri: Oct. 7, 14, 21, 28: 8:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Sat: Oct. 1, 8, 15, 22, 29: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
