Reading dealership hopes to collect 15 boxes of toys for local children, building on last year’s community effort

READING, MA — Route 128 Honda is once again inviting the Reading community to help make the holidays brighter for local children through its annual Toys for Tots toy drive. Now in its third year, the dealership’s holiday collection is underway, with a goal of collecting 15 boxes of toys by December 15.
Located at 88 Walkers Brook Drive, Route 128 Honda began its toy drive on October 1. The dealership is also hosting a special raffle featuring a children’s book written by an employee. The book, a humorous story inspired by the dealership and featuring an image of dealership owner Dan Loggins, helps raise additional funds for Toys for Tots.
Last year, the community rallied behind the effort, filling 10 large boxes with toys for local children. The dealership also raised $500 through a raffle and donated the proceeds to the charitable organization.
This year, Route 128 Honda hopes to surpass those results by collecting 15 boxes of toys. The dealership already has two boxes filled and is encouraging residents to stop by with new, unwrapped toys.
The annual drive reflects Route 128 Honda’s ongoing commitment to supporting Toys for Tots and helping local families during the holiday season.
Community members can drop off toy donations at Route 128 Honda, 88 Walkers Brook Drive, Reading. The toy drive runs through December 15, and the special book raffle is also underway.
