Parker Tavern to Recreate Reading’s Revolutionary War History

Step back into Reading’s Revolutionary War history during a special reenactment and encampment at the historic Parker Tavern.

The event will highlight the Tavern’s connection to the American Revolution and the story of Lieutenant Colonel Archibald Campbell, a Scottish officer who was captured by American forces in 1776 and later held under parole at Parker Tavern.

Visitors can explore a Revolutionary-era encampment, meet reenactors, and learn more about the people and events that connected Reading to the American Revolution.

The event is being presented as part of the commemoration of the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution.
