Group Announces Free Guest Day on October 6

Wakefield, MA — The Wakefield Arts & Crafts Society held its first meeting of the 2026-2027 season on Sept. 8, 2026. The workshop of the day was decorative pinecone-covered trees. The group would also like to announce Free Guest Day on October 6, 2026. At this meeting, anyone with or without crafting experience can enjoy making two different crafts and see what the group is like. The meeting place is accessible to people with disabilities, with free, easy parking.
The Wakefield Arts and Crafts Society welcomes new members with and without crafting experience. Existing members come from Wakefield and many surrounding towns, including Reading, North Reading, Melrose, Malden, Everett, Lynn, Tewksbury, Billerica, and Stoneham.
Members of the group can participate in making a new craft every month for free. Discounted craft supplies are always available at meetings, and members share their crafting expertise. The season includes Free Guest Day in October, a holiday party in December, charity work in winter, and the Annual Exhibit in April.
The group meets on the first Tuesday of the month from 10 a.m. to approximately 1:30 p.m.
