Jean D. Cignetti Slivinsky of Reading passed away on April 3, 2026, at Care One at Essex Park in Beverly. She was 67 years old. Jean was born in Boston, Massachusetts, on February 6, 1959, the daughter of Peter V. and Mary E. (Grady) Cignetti.
Jean grew up in Cambridge, Massachusetts and graduated from Matignon High School. She went on to college in Boston and worked as a bookkeeper for several construction companies.
Outside of work, Jean enjoyed following Boston sports, but what brought her the most joy was watching and hearing about her nieces, nephews, and their children’s accomplishments. Though she did not have children of her own, she held a special place in their lives and cared for them deeply.
Jean was the wife of the late William J. Slivinsky. She was a cherished sister of Peter Cignetti, Kevin Cignetti and his wife Pat, Marie Fratto, Emily Hegarty and her husband John, Stephen Cignetti; the late Gail Wood, the late Janet Cormier and the late Anita Cignetti. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Services will be held privately for family.
