RPL Launches “Reading is Revolutionary” Library Card Design Contest for Kids

Grades K–7 can enter by April 30 for a chance to be featured on a special edition card

Reading, MA—Calling all artists in grades K-7! Flex your creativity and celebrate 250 years of American independence by designing a new special edition library card.

The theme, Reading is Revolutionary, captures our community’s spirit during this historic year. Young artists will create a design on the theme to enter the contest, and the Board of Library Trustees will select the winning design. A limited-edition library card featuring the winning design will be available in September for National Library Card Sign-Up Month.

Designs must be submitted by April 30, 2026.
