Coalition of six local leaders backs former State Representative’s bid for Congress

TOPSFIELD – Former State Representative and Congressional candidate Jamie Belsito has been endorsed by a coalition of six elected officials from the North Shore. The group of elected leaders endorsing Belsito includes:
- Amesbury City Councilor Anthony Rinaldi (District 2)
- Beverly City Council President Julie Flowers (At-Large)
- Gloucester City Councilor Dylan Benson (Ward 2)
- Hamilton Select Board Member Tom Myers
- Reading Select Board Member Carlo Bacci (Ex-officio Chair)
- Topsfield Select Board Vice Chair Marshall Hook
Belsito said, “I am honored to have such widespread support from elected leaders here on the North Shore. They are tireless advocates for their communities and understand the importance of having a Congresswoman who will listen, act decisively, and deliver for our region.”
She continued, “We need bold, outspoken members of Congress who have the experience to make an impact and the political courage to stand up for what’s right and prioritize issues that matter to regular people — not the rich and politically-connected.”
Topsfield Select Board member Marshall Hook said, “I’m honored to endorse Jamie Belsito for Congress. As a former State Representative, Jamie has already shown what effective, compassionate leadership looks like. Her tireless work on maternal health and reproductive rights speaks to her values and her dedication to fighting for families across our district. As someone serving on the Topsfield Select Board, I’ve seen how much our communities benefit from leaders like Jamie—grounded, hardworking, and unafraid to stand up for what’s right.”
Belsito currently serves as Town Moderator in Topsfield, is a former State Representative, and is the founder of the Maternal Mental Health Leadership Alliance, where she has delivered major federal investments and national programs to support mothers and families.
A native of Reading, she and her husband live in Topsfield, where they are raising their two daughters.
