Reading, MA — Two Reading residents recently celebrated milestone birthdays surrounded by family and friends at The Residence at Pearl Street.
Navy veteran Stan Clark marked his 100th birthday with loved ones in early September. As part of the celebration, Reading Veterans Service Officer Will Valliere presented Clark with a certificate from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Veterans Affairs, recognizing his milestone and honoring his service to the nation. “Stan is always smiling and is someone who just appreciates life,” says Bevery Curry, Resident Engagement Director at The Residence at Pearl Street. “He’s smart, spiritual, and lives life with such a positive attitude.”

Enrica Albano also celebrated her birthday in September, turning a remarkable 101. Enrica grew up in Italy and speaks Italian as her first language. Her birthday party had a coastal Italian theme, paying homage to her roots. “Enrica loves to laugh. She has a great sense of humor, and it’s one of the things that stands out about her. She is very family based, and has many friends here,” says Curry. “Enrica is currently our eldest resident and is so loved by the entire community.”
“People look up to Stan and Enrica. They are role models within our community who are incredibly admired for their determination and strength,” Curry adds. “We feel truly honored to be able to celebrate them.”
