Improvements begin July 14, with completion expected by late fall; RISE Playground to reopen before school starts

Reading, MA — Starting July 14, Birch Meadow Park will be temporarily closed as exciting improvements get underway. The project is expected to run into the fall, with a goal of completion by late November. Final work (like court surfacing and painting) may continue into early spring, weather permitting. The RISE Playground resurfacing will be completed before school is back in session, ensuring it’s ready for students this fall.
We appreciate your patience and can’t wait to welcome you back to a refreshed park soon! For more information go to https://readingma.gov/1017/Birch-Meadow-Phase-II
