Reading, MA — In recognition of National Steakhouse Month this June, Post 1917 invites diners to explore Reading’s standout steakhouse. Founded by New England Chef Jason Carron, Post 1917 is a family-operated restaurant located at 136 Haven Street in the historic Post Office Building, the former home of Reading’s century-old post office.
The menu is nearly entirely gluten-free and centers around carefully selected USDA Prime Cuts of beef from local Brandt Farms, along with classic steakhouse dishes and new additions. Chef Carron is preparing to open a second location, Post 1917 Lexington, later this June. The two-story restaurant will offer the same menu as the Reading location, with nearly every dish being gluten-free.
Post 1917 is a modern steakhouse that merges city atmosphere with local charm. Italian Cypress trees line the archways that separate the elegant dining room from the 40-seat bar, which features Quartz countertops. The restaurant’s culinary team comprises professionals from top restaurants across Massachusetts, focusing on delivering a farm-to-table dining experience with exceptional quality and presentation.
