Donate a bike, receive a voucher, and help provide free, safe bicycles — May 9–10

Reading, MA — ReadingCares, in partnership with the Reading Climate Advisory Committee, is proud to announce the return of the annual Bike Recycling and Give-Away, taking place Friday, May 9 and Saturday, May 10 at Reading Municipal Light Department (RMLD), 230 Ash Street.
Community members are invited to donate gently used bikes in good working condition during the following drop-off times:
- Friday, May 9 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM
- Saturday, May 10 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM
Donors of usable bikes will receive a voucher for early entry to the Bike Give-Away, which begins at 12:00 PM on Saturday, May 10. The event will open to the general public at 12:30 PM, when all attendees are welcome to pick up a free, recycled bicycle.
This community-driven initiative helps provide free, safe bicycles to families and individuals across Reading while recycling.
