Revolutionary War Cemetery Walk

Reading, MA — As the 250th anniversary of the Revolutionary War approaches, begin to learn about some of the soldiers buried at Reading’s Laurel Hill Cemetery who served in that war. Visit the graves of 8 men. Where did they live? Where did they fight? Did any receive pensions? Get a glimpse into their families and their lives before and after the war.

The Reading Antiquarian Society, owners of Parker Tavern, will lead the walk. Join us on either August 23 at 10AM or on Sunday August 25 at 4PM. Meet at the main gates on Lowell Street next to the Old South Church. All of the graves that we will visit are in the old section of the cemetery, in close proximity to the entrance, so it should be easy walking.
